IBB operates 14 Core Facilities across Georgia Tech’s campus with more than 175 pieces of equipment. Below, you will find resources to help you navigate the capabilities and use of our state-of-the-art facilities.
Shared User Management System (SUMS)
In order to reserve Core Facilities equipment, you must register to use the Georgia Tech Shared User Management System (SUMS). Once you are registered, the system will enable you to place service requests, provide required approvals, monitor progress, and view equipment availability. Decontamination and Sterilization
IBB hosts several decontamination and sterilization resources. The Petit Biotechnology Building has autoclaves for steam sterilization of laboratory materials, a glass washer for decontamination, and a washer/dryer stack for the cleaning of lab coats. Visit SUMS to learn more.
